The programme prepares students for careers in marketing, international business, digital media, brand management and entrepreneurship. Its most exciting innovation is the introduction of a new Digital Influence & Content Strategy specialisation, designed for students interested in social media, content creation, influencer marketing and the creator economy.

Students complete five semesters of shared business and marketing studies before choosing between two specialisations:

Digital Influence & Content Strategy

This innovative specialisation bridges the gap between traditional marketing education and the modern creator economy. It is designed for students who want to transform their creativity and interest in digital platforms into professional business expertise.

Students develop knowledge and skills across four key areas:

  • Influencer Marketing & Brand Partnerships: Understand how influencers and content creators collaborate with brands, develop partnerships and create commercial value.
  • Social Media Strategy & Analytics: Learn to develop social media strategies, understand audiences, measure engagement and evaluate digital campaign performance.
  • Advanced Content Creation & Production: Develop creative and technical skills for producing engaging digital content across different platforms.
  • Web Design & Client-Side Development: Learn the foundations of creating websites and interactive digital experiences that support marketing and communication objectives.

What makes this specialisation unique?

Students learn not only how to create content, but also how to turn content into effective marketing strategies and business opportunities. By combining creativity, technology, analytics and business knowledge, the programme develops professionals who understand both the creative and commercial dimensions of digital influence.

Potential career opportunities

Social Media Manager, Digital Content Creator, Influencer Marketing Specialist, Digital Marketing Strategist, Brand Partnership Coordinator, Content Marketing Specialist or Digital Entrepreneur.

Strategic Commerce & Market Management

This specialisation focuses on the commercial and strategic dimensions of business, including international trade, e-commerce, sales, market management and business development. Students can tailor their studies by selecting four modules from a portfolio of nine specialisation electives.

It is particularly suitable for students pursuing careers in international business, commercial management, sales strategy, e-commerce or business development.

Why Choose Commerce & Marketing at IBS?

A modern business education: Students build strong foundations in marketing, finance, management, digital marketing, global brand building and business strategy.

Creative and analytical skills combined: The programme connects digital creativity with commercial thinking, data-driven decision-making and marketing performance.

Flexibility to follow individual interests: Two distinct specialisations allow students to align their education with their career ambitions.

Career-oriented learning: A dedicated work placement and dissertation provide opportunities to connect academic knowledge with practical business challenges.

International business perspective: The curriculum prepares students to understand brands, markets and business opportunities in an increasingly interconnected global economy.

Who Is This Programme For?

The programme is ideal for ambitious, creative and business-minded students who are interested in how brands grow, how digital platforms influence consumer behaviour and how marketing creates value.

Whether students want to work for an international company, join a creative agency, manage digital campaigns, become professional content creators or launch their own businesses, the IBS Commerce & Marketing degree provides a broad business foundation and opportunities to develop specialised expertise.
