It has become a tradition that students of the International Business School start the academic year with an orientation day.
First-year students were provided with interactive workshops on IT skills, academic studies, information about assessment rules in the British and Irish higher education systems, and how to use artificial intelligence. There was also a special programme for Erasmus exchange students and participants in the Foundation programme. Master's, MBA, and PhD students attended the information sessions in the afternoon.
The IBS library hosted introductions to student clubs, mentor meetings, and photo sessions with students.
Following the welcome speech by Dr. Márton Rácz, Rector of IBS, Ágnes Romet-Balla, an IBS alumna, spoke about how the academic values and alumni network of IBS benefit graduates in the job market.
Finally, the weather was kind, with the rain stopping just in time for the Garden Party, allowing the picnic and mingling to go ahead without interruption.
The students arrived at the opening ceremony at 9:00 in the morning, excited and eager, and they finished their first day with new friends, relaxed and full of expectations. What is success if not this?
