On November 13, the International Business School opened its doors to prospective students, families, and curious visitors for a day dedicated to exploration, inspiration, and real-world learning.
The afternoon began with the opening presentation led by our Head of Education, Márta Bartha-Rigó, and our Pro-rector of Marketing and Admissions, László Lendvai, who emphasized the school’s mission: to prepare students for prospective careers in real companies through practical education, small group learning, and a global mindset.
Throughout the afternoon, upcoming students and their parents explored classrooms equipped for active learning, met current faculty members and got a behind-the-scenes look at how the school’s small-class approach creates deeper connections between teachers and learners.
One of the highlights for many was the interactive workshop sessions. Faculty members opened their classrooms to demonstrate what a real IBS lesson looks like. Guests participated in mini lectures on topics such as the enigmatic world of social media, science of habits in psychology and safety measurements in the field of diplomacy. Rather than lecturing, teachers engaged participants with discussions, real case studies, and thought-provoking questions. Many visitors remarked that the workshops made them feel like they were already students here.
The Open Day also featured a lively Q&A panel where prospective students could ask anything from entry requirements to campus life, job opportunities, and study-abroad programs.
Many visitors stayed longer than planned, simply enjoying the friendly, welcoming atmosphere that defines the school.
Overall, the November 13 Open Day was more than just an event, it was a meaningful glimpse into what it feels like to be part of the IBS community. It gave future students the chance to imagine themselves here, growing academically, professionally, and personally in an environment that values curiosity, cultural openness, and real-world experience.
For those who attended, we hope the day inspired you. For those who missed it, don’t worry. The next opportunity to visit is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to welcome you.
