Eugene (Gene) is an international development professional with over 25 years of experience in development cooperation, governance, private sector development, and institutional capacity building. He has worked extensively with UNDP, the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, USAID, the International Monetary Fund, and European bilateral donors, supporting partnerships aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
A seasoned trainer, evaluator, and advisor, he has led corporate governance assistance programs, evaluated SME-support policies, and managed organizational capacity-strengthening initiatives worldwide. He also spent several years in private banking and served as Adjunct Professor at Bay Atlantic University in Washington, D.C.. He currently serves as Vice President and Board Member of Grandhouse International in Budapest. In addition to native English, Gene speaks French and Hungarian fluently.
